In this video, we’ll create the OKR “Develop Succession Planning for the Leadership Team”. Being able to recognize internal potential in a company and additionally making substantive plans for the future is a significant and impactful portion of the HR department’s job. A succession plan for the leadership in a company will undoubtedly have widespread effects within a company, and therefore your key results for this objective should be well-formulated and solid.
The key results we could use to measure this Objective are:
- Enroll 25 candidates( Director and Above) in the leadership development program
- Increase employee satisfaction scores in the monthly succession planning workshops from 70% to 90%
Increase the number of managers (project manager and above) who have completed succession planning from 60% to 90%
Let’s input this OKR in the Profit.co software.
After entering your Objective, you’ll create a new key result using the form. Input the first key result title– Increase the number of managers (project manager and above) who have completed succession planning from 60% to 90% — and select the target date for completing this key result. Because this key result contains a metric we would like to achieve– the number of managers that have completed their succession planning– we’ll select “Increase KPI” from the drop down menu. You can create a new KPI by pressing the plus sign symbol, or search for an existing KPI by browsing with the magnifying glass or searching the title. Indicate the percentage you’re at now–60%– and the percentage you’d like to achieve– 90%.
Then, you can indicate if you’d like to assign this key result to another member of your team, and add any additional context. Finally, select the desired frequency for check-ins on this key result, and press create.
Now, you have a specific and impactful key result that will necessarily help to develop succession planning for the leadership team. Here are the other key results that will assist with this goal–
