How can I ensure that meetings from group emails in Outlook appear in individual calendars on Profit.co?

Profit.co provides the option to sync meetings scheduled using group emails in Outlook, directly to individual calendars within the platform.

Why is this feature?

  • This feature ensures that any meetings scheduled using a group email are properly reflected in the individual calendars of all team members.
  • This feature eliminates the need for manual calendar updates, ensuring that all team members have up-to-date meeting details in their individual calendars. 
  • It improves coordination and reduces the risk of miscommunication or missed meetings, ultimately enhancing productivity and team collaboration.

To access the required permissions, follow these steps:

Note: Only an admin can approve this access.

Visit the Microsoft App Store using the link provided below. Click Here

You'll be redirected to the Profit.co Meetings permissions page. On this page, select the "Grant admin consent for profitapps" button.

Next, you'll be taken to the Permission Request page. Click the "Accept" button to complete the process.

To create a meeting in the Outlook calendar, follow the below steps:

Step 1:

Go to your Outlook Calendar and create a Team meeting.

For example, create a team meeting with the engineering team. Add the required details for the meeting and click Save.

After that, The scheduled meeting will appear on your Outlook overview page.

Step 2:

To view the scheduled meeting in your Profit.co calendar, Navigate to Meetings from the left navigation panel.

The scheduled meeting invite will appear in each individual’s calendar within Profit.co.

Note: If a group meeting is already scheduled, it won't sync. However, if any minor changes are made in the Outlook calendar, such as renaming, it will sync.
