How to enable Two Factor Authentication (TFA) / Multi-Factor Authentication code (MFA) in Profit.co?
Category: General
Profit.co provides authentication codes for security breaches like unauthorized access.
Why this feature?
- MFA stands for Multi-factor authentication in which a user can permit or grant access to a website or application that successfully presents two or more pieces of evidence to an authentication process. This authentication protects the user from an unknown identity who tries to login and access data.
- Two Factor Authentication is a security process in which the user will be provided with two different authentication factors, in which one will be the login password and the other one will be the security code, which will be sent to the user's email.
Note: To perform this action, you must be a SuperUser.
Step 1
Navigate to Settings → Security from the left navigation panel. On the Security page, Click on the User Access tab.
Step 2
On the User Access page, in the Two Factor Authentication, enable the “Enable Email Authentication” toggle.
Note: The OTP Generated for Authentication will contain Only Numeric values.
Step 3
You will receive the Two Factor Verification Code via email. Make a note of it.
Note: Now the user can log in by entering the MFA code to continue the session.
