How do I define weights for sub key results in Profit.co?

Category: OKRs

Profit.co enables users to assign weightage to each sub key result within an objective, considering the different levels of impact that each sub key result can have. By incorporating these weightage values, Profit.co accurately measures OKR progress based on the weights.

Why this feature?

  • Defining weights for sub-key results within an OKR involves assigning a percentage value to each sub-key result according to its significance.
  • The weightage given helps prioritize efforts, reflecting the varying contributions of each sub-key result towards the parent key result.
  • This feature ensures accurate progress tracking and fosters fair representation.

Step 1

To enable weighted key results Navigate to Settings → OKRs→ Authoring from the left navigation panel.

Switch to the Key Results tab and enable the toggle for the option “Allow users to define weights for key results”.

Note: Only Super Users can enable this toggle.

Step 2

Users can set weights for the sub key result on the key result overview page under sub key results tab

The weightage should be divided accordingly, such that the total weight calculated should not exceed more than 1.

If the total weight exceeds the whole number 1, then you will be alerted with the alert icon .

Note: When you create or delete a KR, a popup appears showing current weights and suggesting a new weight for the KR. You can accept the recommended weight by clicking "Proceed with Proposed Weight"
