How do I move my objective to the backlog?
Category: OKRs
Profit.co allows you to move OKRs to the backlog and can add them back to the existing OKRs. Earlier, you were provided with an option to move key results to the backlog, but now, you can move the entire OKRs now, and then to the backlog.
Why this feature?
- Moving objectives to the backlog is a useful practice that allows teams to prioritize work items, avoid scope creep, allocate resources effectively, and adjust to changing priorities.
- This feature helps you to save the key results in the OKR backlog which acts as a repository, and also you can directly move key results from our backlog while creating key results or contemplating for your reference in the future.
Step 1
Navigate to Settings → OKRs → Authoring from the left navigation panel. Enable the Enable OKR Backlog toggle under the General tab.
Step 2
Navigate to the All OKRs page and hover your cursor over the Objective, then click on the Ellipsis icon, and then click the Move to Backlog option.
Alternatively, you can click on the Objective, select "View Details," then click the More Options icon in the top menu. From there, you'll have the option to move the Objective to the backlog.
Note: If you have aligned, set any dependencies, or are assigned to any other organizations, and if you try to move the OKR to the backlog, all the customizations you made in the OKR will be removed.
A Confirmation tab will appear, click on Yes.
Step 3
To view a backlogged Objective, navigate to OKRs → Backlog from the left navigation menu. The backlogged Objective will be displayed there.
