How do you Reflect/Reset OKRs?
Category: OKRs
Profit.co provides a Reflect/Reset option for you to review and adjust your goals every quarter.
Why this feature?
- To Reflect on your OKRs at the end of the quarter based on your experience, you may want to carry forward some OKRs and eliminate some.
- The Reflect/Reset feature enables you to reflect on the achievements for the current quarter (celebrate!!!) and apply the learnings to reset them for the next quarter.
Step 1
Navigate to Settings → OKRs → Authoring in the left navigation panel. Click on the Reflect/Reset on the Authoring page
Note: Only Super Users can enable the Reflect/Reset option.
Enable the Enable Reflect/Reset toggle.
Click on the Question Builder to set questions for Reflection.
In the Add Sections drop-down you can add another Q & A section and for the Reflect/Reset for OKR.
You can also restrict the employees to do Reflect/Reset for the OKRs in your organization using the Reflect/Reset Timeframe.
Step 2
Navigate to the OKR where you want to do the Reflect and Reset.
Click on the More option and choose the View Details option.
Go to the Reflect/Reset section and answer the questions to Reflect upon.
After answering the reflection questions, click on Reflect.
Step 3
Click on Reset.
You can make some changes to the Objectives and the Key Results.
In the Objective section, you will have access to change the Name of the Objective, Period, Visibility, Tags, the owner of the Objective, and the OKR category, after making the changes click on Next.
There are four types of resets for the key results given below,
Complete & Close
You can select this option if the key result has been completed, and the key result won’t be added in the next quarter.
Extend as is
You can select this option if the key result is not complete but is still relevant. So, you continue with the key result as is. Here you can change the name of the key result, the Target Date, and the Check-in Frequency of the Key Result.
Modify & Continue
You can select this option to modify the numbers and continue with the key results to work on the next quarter. Here you can change the name of the key result, the Target Date, and the Check-in Frequency of the Key Result including the check-in values.
Add to Backlog
You can select this option if the key result is completed or not completed, but you don't want to work in the upcoming quarter.
The Q2 Objective will be reset to Q3.
