How to set Time Tracking (worklog) for a task?

Profit.co provides an option to set Time Tracking (worklog) for a task. The users can add the estimated hours and the exact time taken to complete the task.

Why this feature?

  • Users can track how much time they spend on specific tasks with the Time Tracking (worklog) feature. 
  • Recording task times help us find potential problems in our task workflows.

Step 1

To enable worklog, navigate to Tasks → Workspaces from the left navigation panel. 

Create a new Workspace by clicking on the +Create Workspace button. On the Create Workspace page, enter the required details and enable the Time Tracking toggle. 

You can also enable them by editing the Workspace. Click on the Edit icon and in the Edit Workspace page, enable the Time Tracking toggle. 

Step 2

Click on the task and set the estimated effort. You can set the time as weeks(w), days(d), hours(h), and minutes(m). For instance, let’s set it as 3 weeks “3w” for completing the task. and click on Save.

Step 3

Under the “Time Track” menu you can set the time spent for progressing the task. You can enter the time taken in the formats such as weeks(w), days(d), hours(h), and minutes(m). Finally, click on Save.

The time progress and the remaining time for progressing the task will be shown in the “Time Tracking” menu

Note: You can view the previous time taken for progressing the task under the “History section”.
