Why are some sub-tasks showing as a separate card in Task Management?

Category: Tasks

Profit.co allows you to create sub-tasks based on your requirements.

Why this feature?

There are a few reasons why some sub-tasks might show up as separate cards in a Task Management system. One reason could be that the parent tasks are owned by different people. This feature would allow each owner to see and work on their own tasks. Another reason could be that the parent task is too large and complex, so breaking it down into smaller sub-tasks makes it easier to manage.

Step 1:

Lets say Matthew Perry is working on writing a blog on What is performance review and how does it impact the companies growth. He wants Bryan Cranston to collect statistical data regarding the topic. So he creates a task and sub-task regarding the same and assigns it to Bryan as seen in the below image.

Note: The parent task owner will see the sub tasks in the same card as shown in the image.

Step 2:

The sub-tasks will be assigned to Bryan Cranston and while taking a look at Bryan’s tasks, the assigned Sub Tasks alone will be shown since the owner of the parent tasks is Mathew.

The icon  differentiates that the task is Sub tasks and it is assigned from the parent KR mentioned below as shown in the image.

Step 3:

To Hide parent tasks click on More option and disable the Parent tasks option to restrict access to Parent tasks.
